What are tithing and offerings?

Tithing is a tenth of your income which you pay to the church. God, severally, commanded the children of Israel to pay tithes to priest or bring their tithes to the temple as a form of worship in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Offerings are seeds you give in the church willingly and not grudgingly. You give offerings in the church according to your financial capacity or as less by God’s Spirit.

God also commanded His children to bring their offerings to the church or to the temple in the Bible. So God commanded tithing and offerings as forms of worship in the Bible.

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
