Steps for Faith-Driven Productivity and how to align your work with your purpose
The following are the ways to align your work with your to disallow burn out are as follows:
1. You must be born again
You can’t truly do the will of God without becoming His. To become His, you have to become born again.
That is, you become a child of God. To become a child of God, you have to to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Jesus Christ, fully God, came to live on the earth for the soles purpose of offering Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. He was killed on the Cross at Calvary and His blood was shed to wash away our sins which Adam plunged us into at the beginning in the Garden of Eden.
You should say the following prayers immediately if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ to become a child of God.
“O God, forgive me. I’m a sinner. I have sinned against you. I believe Jesus Christ died in the Cross shedding His blood to wash away my sin. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior today.
Thank you for forgiving me my sin. I believe I’m saved now. I believe I’m a child of God now.”
Congratulations, if you have said that prayer. Please contact me so that I can send inspired materials to you that can help you to grow effectively as a child of God.
You should also ensure you find a Bible-believing Church and start attending the services and programs. God bless you.
2. You need the help of the Holy Spirit
If you want to work in alignment with your purpose without burn out, you need the help of the Holy Spirit of God. Now that you are born again, you need to ask Jesus to baptize you with His Spirit.
Ask and seek for this in the place of prayers. In Matthew chapter five, the Bible says that those thirst and hunger for righteousness shall be filled.
Don’t underestimate the quality of help the Holy Spirit of God can give you. He is your present help in the times of trouble. He is your God and Friend.

3. Find out your purpose
Now, you need to find out your God-given purpose. That is, you need to find out the reason why God created you.
When your work is in accordance with what God has created you to do, you will always enjoy your work and you will always enjoy the help and support of the Holy Spirit of God.
God promised to strengthen you our of Zion (Psalm 20). Because you are useful to Him on your purpose, He will supply the strength to you.
4. You need to feed in the Word of God consistently
As you need the help of the Holy Spirit to stay strong, you also need God’s Word as we have it in the Bible to stay strong. You need to develop the habit of reading and studying the Word of God daily.
I can assure you that you won’t experience burn out if you are a regular student of the Bible. God’s Spirit strengthens you constantly from the pages of the scriptures.
Isaiah 26:3 shows us that God keeps you and your mind at peace if your mind is stayed on Him. That is if you constantly allow your mind to stay in His Word.
5. Come into His presence and enjoy it
In God’s presence, there is fullness of joy. What do you do in His presence?
- You worship Him
- You speak to Him
- You hear from Him
- You fellowship with Him
- You pray to Him
- You study His Word
6. Learn to find time to relax
Though you are principally a spirit being and you are now a child of God, don’t forget that you are still in the flesh. You need to find time to relax and take some rest.
Jesus slept soundly in the ship when there was a storm (Matthew 8: 23- 24). You need time to relax and rest. This can help you not to experience burn out.
God also rested on the seventh day during creation in the book of Genesis.
