Was Mary Magdalene the girlfriend of Jesus?

Jesus saved the women who was caught in the very act of adultery from being stoned, touched the woman with infirmity and discussed freely with the Samaritan woman at the well even though cultural practices discourage Jews from interacting with Gentiles.

John 19 vs. 25:5 therefore the soldiers did these things. But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 2

When all others including his disciples have abandoned him, only women stood by him. John: 20 vs1now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb  and 20 vs. 11:

But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb Mary risked her life to visit Jesus in the grave. She left her home in the morning and risked being noticed by the Jews who have crucified Jesus, and went to check Jesus at the grave.

One may ask where all the 11 remaining male disciples were. Something tells me there are going to be more women than men in heaven.

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. But the commercialism doesn’t have to rule in our hearts and homes. This year let’s focus on the Christ Child and remember the true meaning of the holiday season. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
