WHAT YOU FEEL… YOU WRITE
You’ve got to feel something to write about it,
Something as huge as Christ’s death,
Don’t just repost ‘It is finished’ because it’s Easter, because everyone is posting ‘He arose’ and ‘He died for you.’
Don’t just post, can you everrrrr feel the pain he endured for your sake?
You can even feel something so strongly that you’d be so numb to even pick a pen or even write anything.
Do you know what led to his death? Do you know how he died? Can you even imagine the pain? The Bible records a fragment of that pain, and even that fragment made me weak to my bones and I wonder why it ever happened?
Why the pain ever happened…
Why the death ever happened…
I can read the account ten times more and I’d still feel a fresh pain. Most of us don’t really know about Easter, his death and resurrection.
We don’t know why people post, ‘It is finished.’
You don’t know why they hold back tears when they talk about his death.
You don’t know about Christ’s death.
I love John’s account more. You should read John 19, maybe you’d understand and even wonder why God loves us to the extent of giving us something free for the price of his beloved son.
I couldn’t write anything the day I read that passage of Bible, this post was actually prompted by something else : The ignorance of people who don’t even understand what Easter means, yet they flood their timelines with posts of Easter. Please, read the Bible and may God’s Spirit give you understanding. The whole posting would just be like water in a basket. No effect. Surface level.
