“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”

John 15:4 says, "Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." This verse is vital to Jesus' message to His followers and holds deep meaning for Christians today. Like a branch is attached to a vine, it's about living close to Jesus.

The main point of this verse is to stay close, or "abide," in Jesus. It means keeping a strong, ongoing relationship with Him. We do this through prayer, reading the Bible, worship, and living by God's teachings. It's about making Jesus the center of our lives.

Jesus uses the picture of a vine and branches to show a truth: just as a branch can't grow fruit if it's not attached to the vine, we can't grow spiritually or positively impact others if we're not connected to Jesus. The nice things we do, like being loving, joyful, peaceful, and kind, all start from being connected to Jesus.

This verse tells us that we need Jesus. Without Him, we can't do things that matter or last. It is not about being weak; it's about knowing where our true strength comes from.
