Matthew 5 vs 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.

Staying righteous and holy demands a lot of sacrifice.
You will likely lose positions, promotions, contracts, financial opportunities, and privileges. This is because the world celebrates worldliness and detests righteousness.
You are also likely to lose a lot of things that can give you pleasures, pleasures of the eyes, mouth, or any other thing that gives you pleasure.
You are also likely to be persecuted or penalised because of your righteousness.
But the Bible says there is an eventual reward in all these as a seat has been prepared for you in Heaven.
