Scripture Challenge: EXODUS

Bible

I know Genesis 1:1 wasn’t too difficult, but if you’re like me, it still felt good to be focusing on Scripture and in doing so, I sure appreciated God’s creation this last week as I traveled to Arkansas to help take care of my precious granddaughter and enjoyed seeing His handiwork all around me.

I chose this passage in Exodus because I believe that in the very core of our being there is a place that can only be filled with God’s presence, and without Him we will always feel void. It is in Him that we find strength and courage and the assurance of eternal life.

Exodus 15-2 (1)

This scripture is a reminder to us all that it is a privilege to enter His Presence and we should do so with praise and thanksgiving. I want to not only recognize Him as creator of all things, but worship Him because of it. It’s one thing to know about God–quite another to bow down to Him in worship –and then walk in a way that honors Him.

Moses had a purpose that God had intended for Him specifically. As a leader, his job was not just to listen to God, but to share what he knew and live his life accordingly. Is our purpose so different? The life I live can be lived by no other–and I don’t want to pretend that the details don’t matter. Look at all the specific details God gave Moses. The details of our life are vastly different, but what we do with what God has given us is a decision each has to make.

I am so thankful that my strength and courage comes from the One who created me and will empower me to do what He calls me to. That alone is praiseworthy!

Have a great week… and if you’re so inclined, let me know how you’re doing!
