SD#69 Choosing to Stay and Become Whole, Part 1 - Denise Pass

Choosing to stay and become whole restores our soul

Choosing to stay and become whole is a hard choice, though far easier than not doing so.

But when we walk with Christ through life’s drama, we can face anything as we abide in His strength and grace. We know from Scripture that this is the secret to abiding peace, but staying is not so easy.

1 Corinthians 7:20-24

“Let each of you remain in the situation in which he was called. Were you called while a slave? Don’t let it concern you. But if you can become free, by all means take the opportunity. 22 For he who is called by the Lord as a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called as a free man is Christ’s slave. 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of people. Brothers and sisters, each person is to remain with God in the situation in which he was called.”

When we choose to stay in God’s presence we discover wholeness in Christ. God is with us, but when we choose to be with Him through all of life’s pain, we become whole again. And those who choose to stay near to God discover grace and freedom.

How do we stay when we constantly shift and drift? As we drift away, God is faithful to draw us near to Him again. And as we draw near to Him, God changes our hearts in His presence.

Listen in as Denise Pass discusses the book, “Stay: Discovering Grace, Freedom, and Wholeness Where You Never Imagined Looking” with author Anjuli Paschall and learn how to find peace with pain and all life sends our way as we abide in Christ.
