Why do we need to walk in godly vision? - Raising Zion

godly vision

When we are young, we seek to build a life for ourselves on earth. What is required? A vision.

Vision (long-term) or Revelation that will guide our thinking to reach a specific goal. Without a plan or vision, we cannot proceed. There needs to be some form of framework that will help us move forward.

Some seek mentors, or talk to experts in the field and do extensive online research.

Similarly, God gave us His word so we can walk faithfully till the end to be with Him forever. Every believer needs to receive counsel or spiritual revelation or vision from God.

King Solomon realised the need for a vision, as King, to rule the nation. The word of God, in the book of Proverbs, reveals how, without vision or counsel, people fall and perish – (Proverbs 11:14/ 15:22/ 29:18). In Hosea, we read how most of Israel was dying because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Proverbs 11:14

Godly Vision will always trump Satan’s lies.

We need to be careful not to fall for Satan or people’s opinions. Our opinions do not matter when the word of God is clear about what matters.

When God has given His word, Satan twists the very words to suit his narrative. Eve ended up eating from the tree God said not to eat, because she heeded the opinion of Satan.

Dear king and priest, you are called to hear from the King of kings and the Chief Priest.

Daniel, John received deep revelation about things to come. The apostles and believers learnt how to live their life in accordance with God’s thoughts and heart.

Walk in the vision God has called you into; renew yourself daily. Jesus is coming soon, Praise God and Amen.
