He Will See His Offspring

Often, it’s good to appreciate what you have by looking at what you didn’t get. Take John 3:16 and let’s imagine it differently. What if God didn’t love the world. He wouldn’t have given His Son or sent Him into the world. Tragically, the world could not be saved.

It’s easy to see. God not loving rebellious men. For since the creation, God has revealed Himself by His invisible attributes. But although they knew Him, they didn’t glorify Him as God or give thanks to Him.

Imagine further with me. Jesus never came. Preaching is meaningless and our faith is empty and worthless. All men would face condemnation, since there is no cross, no payment for sins nor forgiveness.

Heaven would be void of any man and inhabited only by God and the righteous angels. Even the great men of faith, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Daniel and John the Baptist would be cast into hell forever. Since we’re all still in our sins and do not have the righteousness of Christ.

Now be astonished by the truth. “Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer. And though the Lord makes His life an offering for sin, He will see His offspring.”

My soul be amazed and adore your Lord! For the Father did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all. (Romans 8:32) At the same time, Jesus willingly offered Himself without spot to God.

His Father promised that He would see His offspring. And for the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross scorning it’s shame.

“Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer, and though the Lord makes His life an offering for sin, He will see His offspring, and prolong His days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in His hand.” Isaiah 53:10

    Struggling Together in Prayer

I was in the restroom touching up my makeup before speaking to several hundred women. When I looked in the mirror, thoughts began swirling in my mind. What am I doing here? What do I possibly have to say to these women that could make any difference in their lives? I am not capable of walking to that podium tonight. Read more...
