Growing up I used to see from time to time my grandmother buy Pine Gel and I didn’t quite grasp what the hype was all about until I started using it in our home, now I get it. It’s a versatile product. I think it’s one of those products that you wish every home could have. It has made it to the top 5 list of my favorite versatile cleaning products. I have been using the Sunlight Pine Gel and here’s what I have been using it for in our home.

What I love about Pine Gel

  • It’s not abrasive but tackles stains with ease
  • It does not only clean but also Disinfect and Deodorize
  • It can be used diluted or undiluted
  • It Is gentle on the skin

So what do I use Pine Gel for:

Floor Surfaces

It works well on a variety of floor surfaces; tiles, wood floors, laminated wood, carpet, upholstery, and concrete.

Dilute a tablespoon Pine Gel with 2L warm or cold water, mix well and use it to mop floors, you can also use this mixture in a spray bottle for easy use.

Kitchen

Trust Pine Gel to leave your kitchen shining and smelling fresh. It can be used to clean counters, tables, sinks, stoves, range hoods, walls, over racks, stainless steel, and pots. For any food stains on countertops, I like to use dilute it undiluted. Rub a little bit on the surface, leave for 5 minutes and then rinse and wipe with a cloth.

I’m currently doing a 20-day clean kitchen sink challenge and I used pine gel to reward our sink for all the hard work I put it through every day. I love that it keeps my sink clean and smelling fresh. To Use, I diluted 1/4 teaspoon of Pine Gel with 2 cups of warm water. Using a sponge or brush, clean, rinse and wipe the sink.

Laundry

Yep, you read that right. Pine Gel is suitable to use on fabrics as a tough stain remover.  For any tough stains on your clothing, mix a teaspoon of Pine Gel and a cup of water; apply to the stain, wash, and rinse. Some tough stains may require you to use the Pine Gel undiluted.

Pine Gel can also be used as a detergent, for 5kg of laundry, use 5ml of Pine Gel, great for hand washing or to use in a twin tub washing machine.

Bins

Pine Gel is a great odor buster. I like to use Pine Gel to clean bins it eliminates the smell and keeps your home odor-free. It can also use to wipe down indoor rubbish bins to disinfect them of any lingering germs and bacteria.

Restrooms

Pine Gel can be used to clean showers, bathtubs, basins, tiles, toilets, and urinals.

If your toilet bowl has a strong odor, you can use Pine Gel to remove the odor; it works well even for public toilets.

I recently learned a trick that makes the toilet bowl smell fresh after every flush. I like to add a handful of Pine Gel in the toilet tank after cleaning, this will leave your entire bathroom smelling fresh.

Interior or Exterior Walls

Does your painted wall have a stain that needs to be removed? Try Pine Gel, it can remove tough wall stains.

  • Pine Gel can also be used to wash windows and mirrors.
  • Excellent for an at-home car wash, it will leave your car shining.
  • It does a great job on my sneakers and some of my kids’ shoes.
