“What if everything we know is a lie?”
Ever felt like this?
Have you felt as if everyone in your life is lying to you? You feel trapped and confused.
A change is necessary, so what to do? You can’t live like this anymore. Also, you begin to feel there’s none left to trust.
A quick look at our surroundings gives us the following picture;
- Faulty pastors.
- Careless teachers.
- Irresponsible parents.
- Carnal believers.
- Betraying friends (at church).
To add to it all, a world full of chaos and lies. Death, disease, disasters, divisions and deceptions are galore.
How to overcome feelings of being lied to or deceived?
Know the truth and you’ll be able to overcome every lie in your life. The truth helps us recognise the true enemy and the reason why people lie.
Some truths about lies are.
- No lie is of the truth.
- The devil is the father of lies.
- Sin provokes people to lie.
- Evil natures like fear, jealousy and hatred encourage more lies.
- The world and its pleasures keep us in the circle of lies.
Embrace the truth in God’s Word. It is freeing and protects our spirit. Stop believing the lie that people or situations have caused your lack of love for God. Dive into the presence of God. Jesus is the truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.
The people or situations aren’t the problems, it is your approach to this life. The feeling of being lied to comes from expecting from the world around you. Looking for perfect people and standards. When we set our hearts on God’s will, nothing else matters. You will overcome because He who started a good work in you will finish it.
God in His love draws all to Godly fellowship when we seek Him sincerely.
Prepare yourself to meet God. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
