What should we pray- ACTS

Since prayer is vital in our lives, we should know what to pray about. Some of us are afraid to pray because we do not know what to say. We are afraid we may make mistakes in what we say to God.

In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus Christ taught the disciples what to pray for. It should include Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication, known as the ACTS prayer model.

Adoration is about acknowledging God’s sovereignty. It is when we could name all God’s name to praise His goodness. Besides, confession is about humbling before the throne of God and asking Him to forgive us for our sins.

Moreover, Thanksgiving is about expressing our gratitude towards God’s works in our lives. Lastly, Supplication is where we could lay our requests before God and wait expectantly that He would supply all our needs.

Prayer is our backbone

Just like our backbone, we could not stand without it, for it holds our body. This is especially true with prayer. It is our way to be connected to our source of power and strength. Without it, we could never stand firmly
