Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs to climb the corporate ladder

It is no easy feat to climb the corporate ladder. Yet, it is instead a more challenging thing to build that ladder yourself.

Sadly, most of the time, people only see the glamour of the idea of “being-your-own-boss,” working on flexible schedules, and seemingly endless travel galore in entrepreneurship.

People don’t see the sacrifices and the risks entrepreneurs place upon their shoulders. An employee’s worry is how to make both ends meet from paycheck to paycheck. An entrepreneur’s concern is how to keep that paycheck coming for a long time.

So, if you need some inspiration tips for your Christian life today, here are a few reminders to cheer you up!

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 1: Know that it is okay to rest

Even the Lord rested after He created the world in six days. So, once in a while, be kind to yourself and take a rest.  As much as the Lord cares for your spirituality, He also cares for your physical and mental being. The Lord cares for you. The Bible says, “Cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).”

You are the apple of his eye, and he did not create you to do your job tirelessly. So, for those who are weary, Jesus said, “Come to me who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).”

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 2: Know that the Lord wants you to succeed

Amidst all the hustles and bustles in life, know that somebody out there is rooting for your success. God knows His plans for us. Specifically, He plans to prosper us, not harm us. He gives us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:111).

Also, He promised that He would make us “the heads and not the tail” (Deuteronomy 28:13). So we can fully rest knowing that He always has the best for us in mind.

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 3: Know that the Lord is your most generous benefactor

The Father bids us to:

“Ask, seek, and knock (Luke 11:19).”

Also, He tells us to seek Him first so that He can add us all things (Matthew 6:33). However, the Lord can only do this under the prerequisite of obedience.

“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 28: 1, 2).”

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 4: Know that in your weakness, you are made strong.

The Lord’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). The world has brainwashed us that life is merely survival of the fittest.  Thus, we are in a constant battle to be the greatest. We see no rooms for incompetence. We are irritated by the fact of defeat.

Yet, we fail to remember that there is no adult in the sight of God. In His eyes, we are all but little children. Thus, He is delighted when we depend and fully surrender on Him.

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 5: Know that your plans fail, so His plans may prevail.

It is okay to admit that you cannot control everything. Indeed,

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but is the Lord’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21).”

There will be a lot of setbacks that may come along your way. Yet know that for everything, there is a season and a time under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Sometimes our plans fail, so His plans may prevail.

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 6: Know that you should fear not.

Many things in this world are uncertain. And although we may not see the future. We thank God that He is already there. The Bible says,

“In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart I (Jesus) have overcome the world (Matthew 6:33).”

The Lord already said,

“Fear not (Isaiah 41: 10)”. So why should you be afraid? “Oh, you of little faith (Matthew 8:26)!”

Inspirational tips for entrepreneurs 7: Know that your most significant profit is Jesus.

Lastly, we should remind ourselves that no earthly riches or honor can satisfy us like Jesus. Only Jesus can satisfy the soul. Thus, if we gain the world but lose the Savior, “everything is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 1:2).

Jesus is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).” Today, may our prayers be, “to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21).” For we “Press on toward the goal win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).”
