7 Types Of Bondage In Egypt! Part-2 - Raising Zion

I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exodus‬ ‭20:2‬

Brother/Sister,

We are witnesses of ourselves, about how the Lord brought us out from the house of bondage (from this world) into the freedom of living in Him; how He delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into His marvellous light!!

WE ARE A TESTIMONY TO OURSELVES DAILY!

Nonetheless sometimes, the irony of our lives is — even though we have been saved, water baptised and have received the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, the Old Man natures still creeps up every now and then, which needs immense attention! During such a time what must we do? We need to immediately admit our state to God and call out to Him for help.

This post is the second part of the 7 types of Bondage found in Egypt.

4. Bondage of sin – Child of God you must know that your greatest enemy is sin. If we are still living in sin, it means we are still in Egypt. The chances of falling from Grace, suddenly, are greater if we continue to live in sin without repenting for it. But when we confess our sins God will pour out His grace upon us. Psalms 2:12.

5. Bondage of fornication/adultery – The eyes of Jesus are pure eyes, so we need to be wary about how we live our life in this regard. John 8:4. The Corinthian church had everything good about them, nevertheless this type of bondage was also found in them. The Lord waits patiently and does not punish instantly; He does this so that we turn to Him and be faithful with whom ever He has given us.

6. Trusting on Egypt – God does not want us to trust on Egypt and expect help from it. Behold, you trust in the staff of this bruised and broken reed, Egypt, which will pierce the hand of any man who leans on it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust and rely on him. Isaiah‬ ‭36:6‬. As mentioned earlier, Egypt refers to the world. Trusting the world for help help us have a higher spiritual standard.

7. Sceptre of Egypt – This refers to having a dominating behaviour. Those under the sceptre of Egypt/the Pharoah are not let freely. They are always on a bound state. But God does not want us to be under the power of the world. He wants us to live freely in Him. And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. Zechariah‬ ‭10:11‬

    Sausage, Pears, and Apples

There was a time, long, long ago, when my brother and I would eagerly await the arrival of Fall and every train that rolled into our northern Ontario hometown. We knew that on one of those trains there would be wonderful gifts with our names on them. No socks, shirts or pajamas—at least not on the train. Fall meant that a box of apples and another one of pears from the farm of one of our uncles would surely be arriving any day. Fresh fruit was hard to get and expensive up north back then. And y
