A Brief Reflection on Pride 关于骄傲的简短默想

The most fundamental sin of humanity is pride. But where does this pride come from? It comes from the devil, Satan. Then where did Satan’s pride come from? He was originally a wise angel, so why did he fall and become Satan? Because he did not keep his proper place and desired to leave the position assigned to him. Why did he refuse to remain in his proper place? What was his original position?

人类最根本的罪就是骄傲，但是这骄傲是从哪里来的呢？是从魔鬼撒旦而来的，那魔鬼撒旦的骄傲又是从哪里来的呢？它本来是智慧的天使，为什么堕落成了魔鬼撒旦了呢？因为它不守本位，想离开自己的位置。它为什么不守本位，想离开自己的位置呢？它本来的位置是什么？

In Hebrews 1:14 (ESV), it says:

“Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?”

希伯来书 1:14 天使岂不都是服役的灵、奉差遣为那将要承受救恩的人效力吗？

The author of Hebrews tells us that angels were originally created as servants, ministering spirits placed in a position of service. Yet this wise angel did not want to remain in the position of serving. He left his proper place, desiring to exalt and elevate himself. Why did he become proud and seek to exalt himself? Because he considered himself full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

希伯来书的作者告诉我们天使本来是仆人的位置，都是服役的灵，是在服侍的位置，但是这智慧的天使却不想呆在服侍的位置，离开了自己的本位，想要升高，抬高自己。它为什么变得骄傲想要抬高自己呢？因为它觉得自己充满智慧，并且全然美丽。

In Ezekiel 28:12, 17 (ESV), it says:

“You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.”

“Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you.”

以西结书 28:12 “人子啊，你为推罗王作起哀歌，说主耶和华如此说：你无所不备，智慧充足，全然美丽。28:17 你因美丽心中高傲，又因荣光败坏智慧，我已将你摔倒在地，使你倒在君王面前，好叫他们目睹眼见。

Here the king of Tyre is used as a picture of the fallen angel. He became proud because of his beauty. Because of his beauty, he believed he deserved to be served and honored. Yet he forgot that his beauty and wisdom ultimately belonged to God and were gifts given by God, not something that truly belonged to himself.

这里是用推罗王来比喻堕落的天使，它是因为美丽而变得骄傲，它因着自己的美丽而觉得它应该得到服侍和尊崇，但是它却忘了它的美丽和智慧其实都是属于神的，是神所赐予的，并不是真正属于它自己的。

What warning does the sin of the fallen angel give to us? How can we overcome the pride within us?

通过堕落的天使的犯罪给我们的提醒是什么呢？如何才能得胜我里面的骄傲呢？

First, we should give thanks to God for everything we possess, because everything we have comes from God. Therefore, all thanksgiving, praise, and glory should be given to God rather than becoming a reason for pride.

首先要为自己所拥有的一切而感谢神，因为我们所拥有的一切都是从神而来的，所以要把感谢赞美荣耀归给神，而不是因此变得骄傲；

Second, we should follow Jesus Christ in walking the path of humble service. In this way, we will not be captured by the sin of pride.

其次，要效法耶稣基督走谦卑服侍的道路，这样才不会被骄傲的罪所抓住；

Third, the Lord Jesus has already overcome the devil, Satan, and He has also given us this authority, so that we too may bind Satan and bind the sin of pride within us.

第三，主耶稣已经得胜了魔鬼撒旦，并且也将这样的权柄赐给了我们，使我们也可以捆绑撒旦，捆绑我们里面骄傲的罪。
