A New Song of Praise to the Lamb
In Revelation 5:8-9 the four heavenly living creatures and the twenty-four angelic elders “sing a new song, saying: You [the Lamb] are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for You were slain and have purchased
for God by Your blood men out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, Revelation 5:11-14 has further praise by the heavenly multitude.
The Lamb, Jesus Christ, has redeemed men out of every separation of the old humanity to form one new man in Himself. Here the Bible specifically says “every” to show that the humans brought out of all kinds of distinctions are included in the new man. Here we are out of the old separations; “we who are many are one Body in Christ” (Rom. 12:5).
This one Body with Christ as life is also the one new man with Christ as “all and in all.” The eternal development from the Body and the new man is New Jerusalem, where we continue outside of the fallen human differences and have Christ as all and in all the members. In New Jerusalem we all will sing the new song praising the worthy Lamb.
