Believe His ACTIONS Over His Words. - Impacting Righteously

Why do so many women seem to be captivated by words? How is it that so many women seem to be more persuaded by especially men’s words, in spite of their contradicting actions? At times, I have also been one of those women who believed too much of what I was told.

I am not perfect, and have made my share of mistakes. I am still learning more and more the importance of relying on the word of God and on God’s guidance, because He will lead me into all truth. I have observed that many women fall prey to deception, and commonly have the vulnerability of a trusting nature, especially when putting their trust in men.

In this post, my focus is on women, words, and women’s weakness for words. One of the main weapons used against women is words; in particular, the words of men.

Therefore, some of my challenges as a woman have been being naive earlier on about what some men in my life were saying. I have taken some things that were said at face value, without proving all things.

For example, when I was younger, I should have searched the Bible early on, to check that what was being said matched God’s word. I suffered spiritual abuse and depression, because I received false doctrine as truth before I examined what was being said, in light of God’s word.

In relationships, at times, I was too zealous to believe something I was told, in spite of intuitive alarm bells going off. I now believe that being trusting means remaining positively neutral, while confirming the facts, to be certain of truth. In general, many women tend to be subject to words. Interestingly, words alone, inspite of actions can persuade some women. Many women rely largely on words and are heavily swayed by them, even when actual facts tell a different story.

Women have fertile minds. Words are seed.

Let’s talk now about spiritual seed. Words are powerful and important. The word of God is the most powerful and important word! The Word of God is life, truth. The important thing is that women and men receive on good ground in our hearts, true seed, which is God’s word.

– Women’s tendency to be powerfully moved by words is not inherently harmful. When a woman is moved righteously by the word of God, this is perfect! The key is that women need to be moved in the right direction by words of truth only.

– Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life, and general gullibility causes some women to be just as often moved by false words as they are moved by truth. In fact, some women are so loosely anchored in truth that they don’t stay in the truth, even if they once had the truth.

– Specifically, some women initially have the truth, and are blown to and fro in various directions away from the truth, most commonly when they are listening to men.

Consider the parable of the sower and the seed:

“A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundred fold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” -Luke 8: 5-8.

Then, Jesus goes on to further explain to his disciples:

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are those that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

They on the rock are they, which  when they hear, receive the word with joy;  and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” -Luke  5: 11- 15

I pray that both men and women receive the right word; words of truth on good ground, retain it, persevere, and bring forth much good fruit.

This means we need to know the word of God, live according to the word of God, and keep His truth in our hearts. May God help us not to be swayed off of His truth for any reason, including idolatry. The word of God is spiritual seed, pure seed. The words of satan are corrupt seed. He used words to deceive Eve in the garden of Eden.

Let’s talk about lies and bad seed(s).

The words of people are also seed. Women have very fertile minds. As a woman, I must be very careful to protect my mind from corruption. We know what is false and corruption when we know what truth is. I want to bring forth fruit from pure seed only. It should be absolute truth, having taken root on good, fertile ground in my mind.

One downside of some women is their tendency to believe lies spoken, especially by men. Many men have “conquered” many women sexually, because they said certain words to those women. As a woman, I understand that the way God designed women, a woman generally loves love, and needs love. Loving words spoken can really turn a woman on and cause her to drop her guard.

Plenty men have learned that women want love, and have falsely advertised love to women, in order to have their bodies.

There are men who have learned how to smooth talk a woman. They use different ploys, including artificial loving behavior, and smooth, loving words to convince women that they love them. This way, the women will be turned on and receptive to these men, even when the men mean them harm.

Guess who else smooth talked a woman? The serpent did with Eve. History repeats itself. It started in the garden of Eden, according to Genesis 3: 1-7.

These types of “skills” to deceive are demonic. Many people who have these “skills” are smug and feel satisfied about their abilities to deceive. It is not uncommon for a woman to be tricked into a marriage. Some are tricked into being in the wrong relationship, because of crafty words spoken.

• Unfortunately, some women seem to be more impacted by words than actions. This is dangerous.

• There are times that women ignore God-given intuition, in order to believe lies.

• Some women ignore red flags, in favor of charming, convincing words that are spoken.

• One example is when a woman loves most to hear her man tell her he loves her, and that is alright. However, by far, the most accurate indicator of a man’s love will be his treatment of his woman.

Talk can be very cheap. Talk is fine, but are the words measuring up to the actions?

If the man telling a woman he loves her has a pattern of unloving behavior with her, he is not telling the truth. Sadly, some women don’t pay enough attention to actions, because they are so captivated by words.

Some women can be a lot more swayed by the words that come from other’s mouths than they are by the Word of God, even. We can trace this back to the garden of Eden with our mother Eve, the mother of all living.

Idolatry must be put away.

• Women should be very careful to avoid idolatry, which can be subtle.

• I am not to take the word of a man or woman over God’s word at any time. The word of God is my guide, and when something contradicts it, that means it is WRONG.

• When it comes to relationships, I ought to live in fact-based reality and practice good, common sense as well.

• I don’t want to fall victim to, and be carried away with slick, charming, words! It doesn’t matter how much a man is telling me he loves me and incorporating everything he has learned into trying to manipulate me.

• By the grace of God, I am to stay firmly in the truth. I must be very careful to guard my heart and to keep fixated on Jesus Christ. My feelings and fleshly passions can and will lead me astray if I allow them.

Certainly, not all men are deceivers! Plenty women are deceivers too.

There are enough liars and deceivers out there that a woman should stay prayed up, discerning, and be on guard. This way, women can weed out those who are not honest. Again, to be fair, women also deceive men.

Here are some very important and protective Bible verses to keep in our hearts.

Thou shall have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20: 3-5.

God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he not spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23: 19.

The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” Proverbs 14: 15(KJV).

Same verse in the NLT says, “Only simpletons believe everything they’re told! The prudent carefully consider their steps.”

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18: 21.

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”  1 John 3: 18.
