Commentary on Matthew 28: Galilee of breakthrough

  1. Jesus rose from the grave and proceeded to Galilee to be seen by men, (Matthew 28 vs. 7) – Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” God shall bring you out of the grave to a Galilee when all men shall see your new glory.
  1. The ministry of Jesus that was crucified on the cross resurrected at Galilee (Matthew 28 vs. 10) – Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” God shall bring you to your Galilee of resurrection.
  1. The disciples who fled from Jesus during his trial gathered at mount Galilee to worship resurrected Jesus (Matthew 28 vs. 17) – When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Those who have abandoned or forsaken shall return to honour at your Galilee of breakthrough.
  1. Jesus announced he has received all powers in heaven and earth (Matthew 28 vs. 18) – Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Your promotion shall be announced on Galilee.
