Bible study on every verse with "In his heart" in it
This is a Biblical study over Verbal and mental and heart in salvation.
Thank you to my Brother in Christ, Ed Carson (@edcarson3113 on youtube) for inspiring me on this one!
There has been a great debate on whether Romans 10:9-10 is verbal or
internal/heart.
2 Timothy 2:22 “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith,
charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” has been
used to teach that the heart confesses.
This study aims to prove to teach Romans 10:9-10 being verbal.
If Romans 10:9-10 was a mental heart assent, then logically Romans should read
IN.
Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his
heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the
imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite
any more every thing living, as I have done.
The Holy Spirit clarifies always when a man speaks internally or externally.
Genesis 8:21 is the greatest verses you can use for Romans 10:9-10 being verbal.
The Holy Spirit wrote "LORD said in(TERNAL) his heart"
If Romans and Timothy is to be read that the calling is from the heart and
internal. Then, the text should read IN.
The text does not read internal.
Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe IN thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved.”
2 Timothy 2:22 "...that call on the Lord OUT of a pure heart.”
If this is right, then in any verse internal, the Holy Spirit will clarify
internal and use IN.
