Christ our Life will be Manifested in Glory
The Lord Jesus will come in glory and will be glorified in His believers (2 Thes. 1:10).
Today Jesus Christ is in us and He is our life. Colossians 3:4 tells us, “When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory.” As His life grows within us, this life is developing to glory. The development is not visible outwardly but when He returns the degree of development will be “manifested.”
Today “our life is hidden with Christ in God” (Col. 3:3). During this time we need to cooperate with the living Christ in us for the development of Himself as the glory to be manifested. This is also the development if New Jerusalem, the city of glory, in us.
For this cooperation, Colossians 3:1-2 encourages us to “seek the things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things which are above, not on the things which are on the earth.”
We are living on this earth and have responsibilities in our home, our job, our school, and other directions. We take care of these, but our seeking is not a better home or a higher paying job. Our mind is not set on these things but our mind is focused on the Lord Jesus, His coming, His glory, and the new creation with New Jerusalem at its center.
