WHAT’S INSIDE WILL SHOW

Memorise: “O generation of vipers, how can ye being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Matthew 12:34 )

Read: Matthew 12:33-35

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” ( Matthew 5:8 ). God is as pure as light hence you must be pure within and without. Some Christians argue that it is only the heart that matters. But it is what the inside is full of that will show on the outside (Matthew 12:34).

When somebody goes nuts, although the insanity is within, it shows on the outside. Some leaders assume that to effectively reach out to the youths, they must dance, dress, or behave like them: Whereas erring youths are waiting for such leaders to challenge and correct their indecent life-style. It is an irony that those the youths should emulate are now descending to the level of the youths!

I visited a family sometime ago, and asked their boy, ‘How old are you?’ He said he will soon be 20 while his mother said he clocked 19 a few days before. The youths are looking forward and upwards whereas some of their leaders are still looking backwards and downwards. What kind of boys put on torn clothes, rags or wear the hair-do of mad people?

They fall into the class of the insane! There is a spirit behind riotous dressing of modern youths. What kind of girls display half their breasts through certain dressing styles? They are daughters of hell!

Unfortunately, rather than discipline these young ones, many elders make excuses for them. It is simply because they fear their children more than God! They can offend God, but not their rebellious children.

Some years ago, I invited some American friends to come and teach. As they did, they taught my people that I am too hard and that the way to Heaven was not as difficult. They said what matters is what’s inside. I asked God for wisdom to correct these errors.

So I bought two oranges of the same size. One was yellow and the other green. I stood before the people, displayed the two and asked: ‘If you are asked to choose one, which will you choose?’ They chorused, ‘The yellow one’. ‘Why’ I asked.

They said ‘It will be sweeter’. So I quizzed: ‘How would you know the sweeter one since you have not cut it into two?’ Then they answered, ‘The outside shows what’s on the inside’. When I see you walking about dressed like a harlot, I know what’s inside.

When you are fond of using foul language, you are only exhibiting what’s inside. The body will only dance to the rhythm of your heart.

What’s in your heart? Is your dressing confirming or negating your faith in Christ? Make amends before its too late. Put your children in check.

The Ostrich buries its head in the sand but forgets that the rest part of the body is exposed. Everybody else sees what you are hiding, but yourself.
