Mark 8 vs. 36 – What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world, and lose his soul?

This is one of the most important verses in the Bible. The simple questions Jesus is asking you and I today are:

1. What shall it profit an athlete to win the Olympic gold and hell up as a champion in hell?

1. What does it profit a man to be named one of the richest men on earth, and end up spending eternity in agony?

1. What does it profit a man to be a super star on earth, a Hollywood, Bollywood or Nollywood celebrity, and end up as a cast away in hell?

1. What does it profit a man to have high sounding titles on earth- Emeritus Professor, Archbishop, High Chief, Otunba, Igwe, Honourable, Executive Chairman, National Co-ordinator, Fellow, Distinguished Senator, Hounorable, Fellow, Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, Group Managing Director, Chartered Accountant, Expert, Chancellor, President, Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador etc……. and end up a commoner in the eternity of hell?

1. What does it profit a man to indulge in illicit lust with an harem of women on earth, and end up in the hands of demons in hell?

1. What does it profit a man to live in a mansion on earth, and end up in torment in hell?

1. What does it profit a man to enjoy the pleasure of sin for 80, 90, 100 years on this earth, and be afflicted by the torment of sin for eternity?

Prayer

1. Holy Spirit, deliver me from sin
2. Jesus of Nazareth save my household today
3. Fire of God kill my flesh in Jesus name
4. Jesus of Nazareth, do what you have to do to make me make heaven
