Ephesians 2 verse 2

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

1. The Air has strange powers
2. There are some strange powers in the Air
3. The Air is not simply made up of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, ozone, hydrogen or other element
4. The Air is the is the residence, cohabitation, or permanent address of some strange spirit
5. The Bible describes these strange spirits as worldly spirit
6. The Bible describes these strange spirits as anti-Christ spirit
7. The Bible describes these spirits as spirit of disobedient
8. The Bible describes these spirits as spirit of the flesh
9. The Bible describes these spirits as spirit of lust

Ephesians 6 verse 12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

1. The Bible describes the Air as the source of all evil arrows
2. The Bible makes us to understand that these powers in the Air have declared a spiritual war against the children of God
3. The Bible informs us there is a spiritual wrestling match between the powers in the Air and the children of God
4. The Bible describes and name these powers in the Air as:
5. Principalities
6. Powers
7. Rulers of darkness
8. Spiritual wickedness
9. The powers in the Air have a hierarchy level of authority command system and governance system
10. The Bible describes them as having rulers and high places
11. It is clear from Revelation 12 vs 9 that the Air is the permanent address of Satan and rebellion cast out from the presence of God.
12. Daniel makes us to understand that over every physical territory – streets, towns, nations, continents, offices, and residences are spirits territorial powers – Daniel 10: 13.
13. There was a Prince of Persia that blocked the prayers and fasting of Daniel for 2days before divine reinforcement come from above.
14. The dark powers in the Air resist the prayers of saints.
15. The dark powers in the Air block the blessings of the saints.
16. The dark powers in the Air block and hinder even the Angels of God.
17. Paul talks about third heaven saying the seat of God, which means there is first and second heaven – 2 Corinthians 12 vs 2.
18. Ephesians 6 mentions Satan inhabits heavenly places meaning he is either in the first or second heaven2 Corinthians 4 vs 4 – In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

     1 John 5 vs 19 – ¹⁹ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

19. We also know that Satan is described as the god of this world
20. The whole agenda of these evil powers is to manufacture evil

How do we overcome these powers in the Air?

Ephesians 6 vs13 – Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

1. Be a Christian
2. Do not compromise with Satan
3. Flee from every evil
4. Stop lying
5. Speak the truth
6. Live in absolute honesty
7. Be uncompromisingly righteous
8. Live in peace
9. Have unfailing faith in God
10. Trust in God
11. Focus on Heaven
12. Make the Bible your daily companion
13. Confess the word of God
14. Pray always in spirit and understanding
15. Be patient
16. Preserve in suffering
17. Intercede for the saints
18. Do the work of an evangelist
19. Pray for God’s grace
20. Pray from divine revelation
