Jonah 1 verse 6

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Jonah 1:6 So the shipmaster came to him, and said to him, What mean you, O sleeper? arise, call on your God, if so be that God will think on us, that
  1. Jonah was supposed to be preaching on the street of Nineveh but was sleeping in a tourism ship.
  2. Jonah was supposed to be interceding for salvation of Nineveh, but he was snoring at the bottom of a ship
  3. Jonah was supposed to be praying against the wickedness of the people of Nineveh, but he was sleeping in an excursion boat.
  4. Jonah was supposed to be praying against the destruction of his ship by a great wind, but he was fast asleep even when death was at the corner.
  5. Unbelievers and Idolators were praying earnestly to their gods, but Jonah, the prophet was sleeping and snoring because he had lost touch with God.
  6. Jonah was at the edge of destruction, but he was sleeping instead of praying.
  7. Awake, o sleeper and pray for your healing, salvation and deliverance.
