Read: Esther 7:5-6
“And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen” (Est 7:6).

After queen Esther reported Haman’s evil plot to king Ahasuerus, the latter said nothing and left (Est 7:1-7). Haman got the shock of his life at that banquet. He was plotting to hang Mordecai – the queen’s cousin. He had also concluded plans to destroy all the Jews – the people of the queen.

Ephesians 6:13

Yet it never dawned on him that he was not only fighting the queen but also her husband the king. Imagine the irony! He was planning to destroy all that meant anything to the queen, yet he was still parading himself as a friend of the queen. At that banquet, Esther called him by his real name – adversary and wicked enemy. The moment this truth dawned on him, fear gripped his heart and he started to beg for his life but it was too late.

Are you a child of God? If yes, all God’s enemies are your enemies and anyone who makes himself or herself your enemy automatically becomes God’s enemy. You cannot like a man and hate his wife. You cannot like a man and hate his children. Some people say they love their pastor but hate his wife or child. It is not possible! The presence of the minutest hatred against such a family member is the evidence that the fellow does not love you.

Some sisters want to draw very close to their pastor or leader, and develop a strong friendship with him, yet they want to keep his wife out of that relationship. Any time the pastor’s wife tried to partake of the so-called friendship, she is rebuffed as if she is an intruder. Watch it! That so called friendship is meant to bring him down. Anyone who touches your child is touching you. Some leaders actually believe the lies of such divide and rule agents. King Ahasuerus eventually realized that day, that he was really the target.

Whenever the devil strikes at any member of your family, you are the indirect target. If he can succeed at hitting at them, you will panic, suffer, be distracted and be the one to lose. From today, team up with members of your family to pray against any indirect satanic attack on you. Correct anyone who is drawing close to you but repelling your spouse. If the fellow fails to take correction, cut him or her off. Protect your family from satanic divide and rule.

Father, uproot all enemies parading themselves as friends, in my life, family and church. Let satanic divide and rule schemes fail concerning me and my family.
