Do You Feel Like You’ve Messed Up Too Much for God?

“God, help me, I feel like the worst person in the world.”

“How can I even come to You again, after I didn’t listen the last time?”

“I don’t think You’d even want to hear me anymore.”

“Why do I end up doing the exact things I don’t want to do, and the things I want to do… I can’t seem to do them?”

If you’ve ever whispered these words to yourself, you’re not alone.
Many of us, especially as young Christians, know that deep ache of guilt and condemnation after we’ve fallen short. Maybe it was sin.

Maybe it was spiritual laziness. Maybe it was ignoring a nudge from the Holy Spirit.

And the worst part? That voice in your head that says, “Don’t even bother praying. God’s tired of you.”

But here’s the truth the enemy doesn’t want you to remember: God never pushes away a repentant heart.

When you fall, the safest place to run is towards Him, not away from Him.

Romans 8:1 says, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
This means God’s grace is greater than your failure. His mercy is stronger than your mistakes.

Think about the prodigal son, he came home dirty, broke, and ashamed… and the Father ran to meet him. He didn’t wait for his son to “get clean” first.

When guilt tells you to hide, grace says, “Come closer.”

When shame says, “You’ve blown it,” God says, “I still choose you.”

So, the next time you feel you’ve messed up too badly, don’t rehearse your failure.
Return to your Father. Cry. Pray. Worship through the shame until His love becomes louder than your guilt.

Because the truth is, He’s not keeping you at a distance.

He’s waiting with open arms. 🧡
