DOES YOUR PRAISE MATCH YOUR SAVIOR? — SAMUELDEUTH.COM

I watched a TBN special last night hosted by my friend the incomparable Pastor John Gray. I love the passionate and full on heart of John Gray towards God and this generation. I loved something that he said during a time of worship on the show.

"I cannot and will not give God a casual praise!" - John Gray

I hope this phrase rings as true and deep for you as it does me. Like John said, we've been saved from too much and been given too much grace to give a passive and half-hearted praise. The God of all the universe, who created everything we see and all of humanity, also came to earth to die on the cross for us and pay the ultimate price to buy us back from the sin that has held us captive. Now that is something worth praising about!I'm sure that John's phrase was inspired by another passionate worshiper named David from the Bible. David wanted to bring an offering to God and he said:

"...I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” - 2 Samuel 24:24

So I want to come back to the original question: Does your praise match your savior? The only praise that honors God is a "full and total praise". Let every part of our lives bring worship and honor to God.John, I agree with you, I cannot and will not give God a half-hearted, casual praise! God's been too good!
