Embracing God's Power in Our Weakness - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. -  2 Corinthians 12:8-10

Please Pray:

Father, help me feel content with my weaknesses because you say you perfect your strength and power in them. Lord, I ask that you even help me boast or rejoice, as Paul says, in my weaknesses rather than despise them. Help me trust you with all of my weak places, especially the ones that bother me the most, because I know this is where your power will be shown the greatest. After all, your Word says you choose what is weak to shame the strong. Help me never to trust in my strength and power but to boast in yours. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
