    Every Word You Say

    The Shut Up Book

A 40 Biblical Approach to Controlling Your Mouth

    Matthew 12:36

And I say to you, that every careless word that men shall speak, they shall render account for it in the Day of Judgment.

This verse is enough to keep our mouths closed for the rest of our lives. We will be judged forever for every careless word. I don’t want to think of how many things I have said in my lifetime there were thoughtless and mean-spirited.

The God who counts every hair on our head is also interested in every word we say. God is the creator of this vast universe and all it entails. But he also knows each slip of the tongue that every human has ever made.

So what does this mean? Think before you say anything. Count the cost of every word. Be careful instead of careless with everything you speak.
