FATHER, BRING HEALING TO YOUR CHURCH…

In this time of cleansing and sanctification within Your House, we join together in agreement for Your perfect will to be done. In the swirl of heated conversations and differing opinions, we believe in the power of prayer to unite our hearts in both Your will and Your ways. Bring us through this needed time of examination so that we can better reflect who You truly are to a world that is looking for answers. Fix our eyes on You and help us to see our common enemy so that we can overturn the lies and demolish the strongholds that seek to divide and destroy your Body. We believe that everything You do is for our good and even Your discipline is evidence of Your abiding love as our Father. Show us where we have failed and bring us through these fires with a greater love for Your Word and a compassionate love for Your people.

FOR THE CAUSE OF CHRIST, bring us to agreement concerning the gross sins that have caught us unawares and found us weak in response. In the midst of controversy and question, help us to find Your truth and that which will bring about the healing and correction that is needed within the Body of Christ. Forgive us for allowing compromise  and ungodly mindsets and values to infiltrate Your Church. Help us to lay down our personal offenses, our ministry idols, and our pet doctrines, so that we can see what is wrong and do what is right. Purge our hearts and minds from all that is unpleasing to You and reset the boundary lines according to Your Word.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN WOUNDED by abuses in Your House, we pray that they would know of Your profound and unconditional love for them. Give them courage to process their experience and to share their story without fear or shame. May they be protected in their process and empowered by Your Spirit to receive the fullness of healing and restoration they need. Establish their steps and bring them godly counselors to listen and those who will steward their story with both conviction and compassion. Bring them out of their bondage and set their hearts free and make them whole. May their testimonies of victory override and overshadow their stories of pain.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ABUSED THEIR AUTHORITY in Your House to bring harm to the innocent and take advantage of the vulnerable, we ask that they be overcome and arrested by the Spirit of God. Wake them from their stupor and open their eyes to the truth. Where they have been deceived and hardened their hearts, may they know the weight of Your Word and the heaviness of Your holiness. Where they have justified their sins, overwhelm them with the fear of the Lord that will cause them to fall to their knees in utter remorse and godly sorrow. Rend their hearts with conviction, and reveal to them the gravity of their sins. May they have deep and profound revelation of their darkened minds and destructive behaviors. May they yet turn from their sins and run to the only One who can fill the gaping holes in their own hearts. And may those who cover these sins and deny their existence, be left without  defense and be exposed in their complicity. Bring conviction to those who blindly allow the corruption and remove them from their places of influence and authority. Nullify the voices that speak without wisdom and defend without cause. Separate the guilty from the innocent and may all see that it is Your hand that is doing it.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE INTENTIONALLY DEFRAUDED YOUR PEOPLE, expose their corruption and uncover their contracts of greed and selfish ambition. Shine Your light on unholy alliances and man-centered deals that seek to rob Your people and benefit the proud. Bring forth the needed evidence to expose and convict these squatters in Your House that have pursued power instead of purity. Trap them in their plots and nullify their attempts to defend, deflect, and point fingers of blame. Bring down the idols they have made and the fortresses they have built in seeking their own glory above Yours. May they see how far they have fallen from Your grace and repent of their idolatrous ways.

For all who have used positions of influence for their own gain and reputation, may their hearts be broken and their lives be humbled before the presence of a Holy God. May they come to understand the severity of Your righteous judgments upon those who harm the innocent, rob Your people, and justify their deeds with flattering words and empty promises. We do not rejoice in their downfall, but pray for mercy upon their souls.

FOR THE WATCHMEN CRYING OUT we ask for a righteous guard around these You have called to sound the alarm concerning these grievous sins. As they watch on the wall, stir their hearts to prayer and amplify their voices as they warn the Body and defend Your standard. Keep their hearts free from personal ambition, and stir within them an even greater love for Your Body than hatred for Your enemies. Fuel their cause with right information and accurate intel to confirm what has been hidden and verify what is true. We pray that every weapon of the enemy that has been formed to silence, coerce, and intimidate them, would be rendered useless and brought to nothing. Shut the mouths of the jackals who seek to discredit and defame those You have called to warn Your Church and protect Your people. Weed out the counterfeit voices and posers who only want fame and reputation, and separate the truth tellers from the crowd seekers. May they be anchored in Your Word and speak only that which You have authorized and ordained. May their voices stir us towards righteousness and truth, and inspire the needed reforms for the days to come. May we heed the alarm and acknowledge the seriousness of the hour.

FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST we pray that Your Love would permeate our responses in this time of correction. Even as we experience great pain and loss in all these changes, grant us clear vision to see the necessity of pruning and discipline. Grant us a unified voice that will overwhelm the enemy and silence the false accusations and lies that seek to take us out. Forgive our unbelief and unwillingness to deal with these uncomfortable truths. Forgive our idolatry of men and preoccupation with gifts and anointings. Help us choose our battles wisely and determine to walk together in lifting up a righteous standard in the Body of Christ. Teach us to rightly discern the real from the counterfeit and the pure from the profane. Keep us from presumption and wrong judgments. Increase our hunger for the Word that we might know Your truth without debate. May we love well by listening before we speak and forgiving when needed. May we recognize Your hand in this changing of the guard and reformation of ministry so that Your Name would be glorified without fault.

Have Your way in this hour, Lord! Do the needed work within Your Bride. May we come through this process as a unified Body that walks in the power of Your Spirit and the truth of Your Word.  In Jesus’ name. Amen!
