Ecclesiastes 12 verse 13

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

What Does Ecclesiastes 12:13 Mean?

  1. The Bible says every man and woman has two duties.
  2. The first duty of every man and woman is to fear God.
  3. The second duty of every man and woman is to obey the commandment of God.
  4. What this verse is saying is that every work you do in school, office, home, street, or church, must not conflict with these duties.
  5. Every work you do in the school, office, church, or house, must be influenced by the fear of God and obeying the commandments of God.
  6. You must check everything you do; it must be in line with the commandments of God not in line with the commandments of your boss, supervisor, lecturer, pastor, or parent.
  7. These are the two duties that God that created you gave. And anything you do must be in line with the duties.

Does God Tire Of Our Constant Repenting? - Today Can Be Different

God commands us to be holy, but He doesn’t leave us to figure it out alone or shout down at us in frustration, “Stop sinning! Be holy!” Instead, He lovingly invites us to come to Him with our struggles. When we confess, He listens to every word, reaches into our lives – directly into our messes – and lifts us out of the many waters.
