This month shall be unto you the beginning of the months: it shall be first month of the year to you- Exodus 12 vs. 2

How has the year been with you? Are things working out according to your plans? I am sure you set out to achieve some goals for every month in the year, were you able to achieve your goals for January or you are a bit downcast that you were not able to achieve your target for January.

Are you worried that you have lost a month in the year?

Personally I was not able to achieve all I set for myself in January. For instance, I was not able to update this blog as regularly as I planned because I was busy with other family commitments in the first two weeks. My household just moved into a new accommodation, and the packing, and rearrangement took quite a bit of my time.

Towards the end of January I was a bit worried that a month had gone in the year, without achieving my target. Afraid that only 11 months left for me to attain my goals for the year.

But the Bible has a different message for me:

This month shall be unto you the beginning of the months: it shall be first month of the year to you– Exodus 12 vs. 2

God is telling me that the year has just started and He will help me to recoup the time I had lost in January. Please read Exodus 12 vs. 2 again. God is telling you Happy New Year.

It is just the beginning. You can still make it. Forget the fact that, you could not attain all your goals in January. God is saying actually the Year 2008 has just started.

February 2008 is the first month of the Year. You can still achieve your expectations this year.

So get started, lay your hands on something, take a step of faith, and your expectations would not be cut short in Jesus name.

Pray this prayer for ten minutes: I pursue, overtake and recover all that I have lost in January 2008 in Jesus name.
