Financial breakthrough: how to receive God’s blessings

“In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee” (2 Chron 1:7)

Read: 2 Chron 1:6-12

Your service requires dozes of aggressiveness if it will be acceptable to God. There are some believers, ministers and even pastors who cannot make their houses available for God’s use as a house fellowship centre. They keep Jesus outside their boat but expect Him to bless them. Let us take a cue from David. In 2 Samuel 7:1-20,

David wanted to build a house for God but the Lord prevented him because he had spilled much blood. Yet, he made provision for virtually all that was needed for the building of the temple. His attitude was, If my hands cannot build this house, my money and materials will.

If God had disallowed that too; just because he did not want to be cut off a very important project for God, his prayers would have been employed for the same purpose. That was a test for David but he came out in flying colours! He did not only provide for the building, he also provided for its maintenance for several years! Little wonder he is a man after God’s heart.

As a result of his selfless sacrifice, God promised that he would never lack somebody to sit on his throne; And that whenever his children misbehaved, He would cane them, but never withdraw His mercy from them, like He did to king Saul.

Today, we do not need to wait for the Holy Spirit to stop us from building for God: we stop ourselves. Some people have become incurable migrants: they migrate from church to church all in the name of avoiding financial commitments.

There is a difference between a worshipper and a lover. David was in love with God. When you love someone and offer the fellow a gift but it is turned down, you would look for another opportunity of presenting it.

When Solomon added aggressiveness to his offering by breaking past records with an offering of 1000 cows, God also broke His record of blessing on previous kings by giving him uncommon wisdom and great riches (2 Chronicles 1:6-12).

Do you know it is very easy to get God’s attention? Like Solomon, you could find out those who hold world records in prayer, praise, worship, giving, tithing, service, dedication and commitment to God, obedience, evangelism, praying in tongues, love, humility, forgiveness, intercession, team work, meekness, etc. and make effort to surpass it even by a little margin.

And you would be shocked at Heaven’s response! Heaven always notices record breakers! Do you know you could break some of the records within one, two, five or 10 years? Most people are interested in the glory but not the story. If Solomon could break world record in giving, you too can! In which area do you want to set that new record?

When a man breaks world records, the world applauds him. When you break Heaven’s records, the cloud of witnesses applaud you and your name enters Heaven’s Hall of fame. Yet there will be a physical reward for the earth to see correctly
