And I turned and see the voice that spake to me, And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticksRev. 1 vs. 13
The Church is like a candle stick and it the passage above the seven candlesticks mentioned in the passage above refers to the seven churches in Asia.

The Church is the fellowship of Christians for sharing experiences, building faith, and fellowship in hymns, prayers, and service to God Almighty.

There are thousands of Church denominations in the world, and it could be confusing identifying and deciding on which to join. Below are some features you should look for in deicing which church to join.

Key features of a good Church
The Church must believe in Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Church. The word Christians is formed from Christ, which means the messiah. Any body that claims to be a Church must therefore believe in all the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.. If you are in any church in which any other name, person, or god is being magnified then surely you have found yourself in the wrong environment and you should quit.
It is also goes without saying that a good church should believe in the Holy Bible, and the most accepted version is the Kings James version. If you are in ay gathering that has come out with a separate book and has produced its own version of a ‘Bible’ for use by its members alone, then surely you are not in a Church but a occultic association.

Rev. 1 vs. 13
not only describes the church as a candle stick but as a golden candlestick. Gold signifies purity. A good church must therefore be sanctified in holiness and righteousness. It must preach and practice the undiluted word of God. The message of Christ must not be compromised because of any other selfish consideration. If you see a church where the word of God has been compromised, then that is not the right place for you
The primary purpose of the candle that is mentioned in the passage quoted above is to give light. The Church should shed light to the world. It must be able to proffer solutions and deliver you from the problems of life through the word of God and prayers. Jesus testifies about himself that he is the light of the word, therefore a good church must use the power of God to break your yoke and remove your burdens. If you are in a church in which the contrary is the case, then ran out fast.
A candle signifies simplicity and humility. Jesus Christ lived a simple life and it took a kiss to identify him before his accusers. The Church should provide a level playing ground for all worshippers of various statuses to worship in truth and in deed. There should not be bigmanism or favoritism in a church. Most importantly the Founder or Head of the Church should not lift himself above the congregation and be treated like an Emperor. If you see signs of these negative tendencies in any Church, then that is not the best place for you.
Rev. 1 vs. 13 refers the church as a candlestick. The Church therefore is not merely a candle, but a candle stick. A stick is meant for reproving, correcting and punishing. The Church is not meant for saying only nice and sweet things to the ears of the congregation. If you attend a good church, you must hear something there that should rebuke you, leading you to repentance from sin. Jesus Christ cursed the Pharisees and Sadducees for their hypocrisy, saying ‘Woe’ to them. Don’t attend a Church where the Preacher is afraid to teach the word of God.
