Grace Abounds Now & in New Jerusalem
Hebrews 4:16 calls us to “come forward with boldness to the throne of grace.” This throne is in spirit now and will be in New Jerusalem. We “come forward” that “we may receive mercy and find grace for timely help.”
Romans 5:17 assures us that “those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” When we come forward we receive not merely a little grace but “abundance of grace.” This grace is Christ Himself as our bountiful supply.
Today we can receive grace abundantly. Romans 5:20 even says “where sin abounded, grace has superabounded”! And 1 Timothy 1:14 also declares “the grace of our Lord superabounded.” This is not outward blessings but inward strength, peace, and joy. With so much today, how much more in New Jerusalem!
How to receive this grace? Call on the name of the Lord; “the same Lord is rich to all who call upon Him” (Rom. 10:13). Sing to Him (Eph. 5:19). Eat His word (Jer. 15:16) and declare His word to others (Isa. 12:4). Praise Him and thank Him! Declare aloud, Lord Jesus I love you! These practices are for now and will continue into New Jerusalem.
