HE IS PUTTING HIS FOOT DOWN! A WORD TO THE HOUSES OF PRAYER

I knew the angelic host was inviting us into this place of habitation and beholding His beauty. But even as I sought to behold what they might be seeing, I realized I could not see it, but I could feel it. Somehow, I could feel the overpowering beauty of the Lord, like a rushing river flowing throughout my entire being. There was an increase of joy as I took in the wonder and awe of the Creator. I knew that the beauty He possessed could not be limited to sight alone. It must be taken in by all the senses. We do not have to see with our eyes when He possesses us to the fullest. The wonder and awe of His majesty can be felt, touched, and heard. Even the aroma of His presence is accessible to those who inquire in His Temple.

As we continued to worship the Lord in all His beauty, I then saw the angels that had gathered begin to encircle the sanctuary. There was a seriousness in what they were doing. I knew that this Presence we were being drawn into was actually preparing us for something far greater. Our hearts were being tuned and aligned with heaven’s perfect and powerful will for what was to come. I somehow knew that the fear of the Lord was going to be a byproduct of this preparation in His Presence.

I saw the host of heaven continue to stretch out their arms in an ever-widening circle, enveloping this habitation of the Lord’s presence. I knew they were clearing the way and making room. It was then I saw it.

In the middle of the sanctuary where space had been created, I saw the foot of the Lord come down. It was massive in size and shook the ground as He entered. Though I could only see His foot, the weight of the King’s presence was tangible. I then heard, “HERE IS WHERE HE’LL TAKE A STAND.”

I knew that our worship had been preparation for this. In beholding the beauty of His holiness, room had been created for the King of Glory to enter. I was reminded of the scripture verse out of Jeremiah 6:16 that our church, Crossroads, was founded upon: “This is what the LORD says: ‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.’”

I then heard the Lord say,

STAND AT THE CROSSROADS – AND LOOK. DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?

I knew it was a statement of fact, but also a challenge. As we were creating a habitation of His presence, He came to “put His foot down.” He had found a place to take a righteous stand and was inviting us to join Him. He was inviting us to look from the higher realms where He resides to see things as He does. He was coming to dwell, but also to execute His decisions.

PURSUING HIS PRESENCE MORE THAN HIS PROPHETS

Why is it that prophetic ministry always comes under such scrutiny? Why do prophetic voices gain so much attention and cause such a stir? What is it about prophecy that causes such controversy on the one hand, and such hunger on the other? I believe one of the primary reasons is that true prophecy opens the door to the unseen realm. Pure prophetic operation reveals a supernatural God and realities not otherwise experienced or known to our flesh. It is a tangible demonstration that we can hear God’s voice and even know God’s heart. And though most of our understanding of prophecy comes from the New Testament, I find an interesting statement from Moses in the Old Testament that points to a core value of the prophetic.

        SACRED COWS AND STRANGE FIRE

The knife that is cutting through His house is no respecter of persons. God does not set aside our favorites. He does not overlook compromise or spiritual corruption to salvage men’s reputations. Nor will allow His anointing to be weaponized by those who only seek the glory for themselves. He is a holy God and NO ONE can touch His glory. No one is above His discipline or correction. And because of the buildup of dung in His pantry, the stench can no longer be tolerated. No prophet or apostle, teacher or pastor, or any other leader in God’s house will escape His cleansing wrath.

        THE WEIGHT OF PERFECT LOVE

I had an unexpected dream the other night that called my attention to the depth of the Father’s love when dealing with sin in His people… When I woke up, I was struck by my reaction in the dream. Knowing the doctrinal errors and spiritual deception this young woman has been operating in, I was surprised at what the Lord was revealing…

A New Wineskin for a CHARISMATIC REFORMATION

This reform is not rejection of the Charismatic emphasis on the Holy Spirit, but a refinement—where power is submitted to purity, and gifting is governed by godliness. The Church is being invited into a season of divine pruning so it may bear lasting fruit (John 15:2). The question is not just whether we want revival, but whether we are willing to become vessels that can carry it well.
