How does one come near to The Heavenly Father? - Raising Zion

The Heavenly Father is completely accessible. If you don’t know how, then your life as a believer will be a casual, lukewarm, religious walk with God.

God chooses us and enables us to approach Him. His great mercy and compassion for us gives us the privilege of being in His presence to ask and receive.

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. Psalms 65:4

God drew us to Him through Jesus (John 12:32). Jesus was lifted up, and even today, many are being drawn to Him out of His love and mercy. The love and mercy displayed on the cross of Calvary.

“See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Our life has purpose and meaning; we need to show the world ‘how’ by living an exemplary life in Him and bringing the good news to all. This showing is not about our “performance” but our surrender to the Heavenly Father in obedience and in the fear of God.

Draw close to the Heavenly Father

When we draw close to Him with a pure heart (holiness) and clean hands (works), He draws closer to us. It takes a humble man to walk in holiness and stay honest in his daily walk. Double mindedness makes us unstable. The instability causes us to fall and sin against God.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:8)

Soon, we will be with Jesus. Maranatha, Praise God.

What the Angels Said — Carol McLeod Ministries

Angels are an intrinsic and dynamic part of the Christmas story. Christmas simply would not have occurred without these God-sent messengers from heaven. We don’t know if the angels were clothed in flowing, white robes, if they had a halo that sparkled, or even if they flew with wings into the Christ

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. But the commercialism doesn’t have to rule in our hearts and homes. This year let’s focus on the Christ Child and remember the true meaning of the holiday season. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
