How to Fight Unholy Fear - A Nighttime Prayer

    1x
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. -- 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

    Please Pray:

    (Suggested Read: Psalm 86)

    Dear Lord,

When I face fear and anxiety, or life seems determined to overwhelm me, please help me to remember Psalm 118:6 (NIV): The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? I lay before you this/these specific fear(s) ______________________. I ask that you help me to obey you, discipline my thoughts, resist evil spirits brought against me, and seek joyfulness instead of anxiety. Remind me to keep my focus on my Savior Jesus Christ, who has saved me with His blood shed on the Cross. In His name, Amen.

He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
