How To Love This Life And See Good Days? - Raising Zion

Do you want to know how to love this life and see good days?

To love this life and see good days, Peter reminds us that we need to keep our tongue from evil and lips from speaking guile.

How dangerous is the tongue?

The psalmist writes, the tongue devises mischiefs, is deceitful, loves evil more than good and speaks lies (Psalms 52:2,3). James calls the tongue, full of deadly poison.

“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”

James 3:6-8

3 ways to use the tongue

  1. Give room for the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:18)
  2. Be available for the gift of tongues or prophesy to manifest during fellowship (1 Corinthians 12:10)
  3. Speak righteousness and praise of God all day long. Speak wisdom and kindness (Psalms 35:28/37:30,31) (Proverbs 31:26)

Those who don’t love this life in Christ misuse their tongue

God will cut them off (Psalms 12:3). A proud look and a lying tongue is an abomination to God (Proverbs 6:17)

God delivers and teaches us how to speak and use the tongue correctly through his word. (Psalm 120:2) (Job 6:24). The word of God cleans us, so we can think and feel and walk in the truth that sets free.

“Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, And from a deceitful tongue.”

Psalms 120:2

Jesus is life. Love Jesus to love life.
God is good. Be in God’s presence daily to see good days.

We have come to the end of days. Jesus is coming soon. Hold on dear brother and sister, we will be flying soon. Praise God and Amen!

An Inspired Challenge for Wives This Father's Day - Today Can Be Different

Consider asking your husband how you can pray for him each day. (If the father of your children doesn’t live with you, for whatever reason, remember to put him on your prayer list too.) Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
