How to overcome mental health issues? - Raising GENERATION Zion

Every new generation blames the “church” for not being serious about mental health. Is it true?

The church is the body of Christ. Misfits and troublemakers who deserved nothing but hell. You and I are the church. Can we survive if divided? No. But the truth is, the church of God in Christ is not divided. It stands tall because it knows Jesus closely. There is a group in the church that does not understand Jesus, that is the church the devil wants us to focus on, so we go astray from praising Jesus.

The church, the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, stays focused on loving Jesus and bringing Him to a world full of the lost.

The church is the only place that addresses the issue of mental health. Which church? The church that preaches the pure word of God to its members. Peter and Paul preached the same gospel. All who hear it has a responsibility. Today most are only sharing opinions outside of God’s framework.

Did Jesus address mental health? Yes.

Do you study the Bible yourself? Then you won’t wait for the church because any believer knows you need to have a daily personal prayer life and Bible meditation.

What is a mental health issue? Anxiety, depression, etc. There is a root cause for all fruit in our lives. Is your heart a good heart or a dicey one?

Once you are in Christ, believer, you need to walk in the godly perspective. Getting to the point, what did Jesus say?

  • Do not be anxious, be of God’s cheer, or trouble will trouble you. I have overcome distress; now, you can overcome it. (John 16:33)
  • Ye of little faith, do not worry because I will take care of all your needs. Even earthly. (Matthew 6:24-34)

Why do we fall deeper into turmoil when we face one? We do not trust Jesus with our burdens and hold on to them. (Matthew 11:29,30)

When we hold on to sin, the world and Satan’s lies, mental health concerns become catastrophes.

Don’t subscribe to emotionally corrupt narratives that distort the biblical meaning of love and grace. Give room for the Holy Spirit to fill you with godly feelings.

Seek Jesus, and your blessings will be more than what you can ask or think. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.

Sehnsucht in the Blue Ridge Mountains — Nicole O'Meara

Sehnsucht is hard to put into words, as can be seen in my painfully limited ability to describe what I felt at a vista in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some call it joy. Some called it wistful longing for something you can’t explain. It has been called melancholy and nostalgia. It is all of that, and mo
