What has God given you already as a child of God?
1. Sound mind
2. Love, and
3. Power

For what? To help you overcome 3 obstacles at the coming of the Lord.
1. Deceitfulness of riches (Pride of life)
2. Cares of the world
3. Lusts (flesh & eyes)

How can you prepare yourself with a sound mind, love and power?
A sound mind founded on sound doctrine keeps us spiritually humble and poor in spirit so we are not carried away by the abundance of this life. We stay focused on living soberly, righteously and godly. Not thinking highly of ourselves. We live with the mind of Christ (Isaiah 11:1-5)
When we are filled with the Father’s love through the Holy Spirit, the world and its cares will not overcome us. Our affections will be set on things above (Colossians 3:1-3).
The flesh is constantly fighting the spirit of man. To overcome the flesh we need power from God. The power of resurrection works mightily when we yield to His leading, breaking every yoke of bondage (Isaiah 10:27).
Jesus said, “I come quickly”. Put into practice what God has given to live an overcoming life in Christ Jesus. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
