How To Trust In God When Surrounded By Trouble - Raising Zion

Trust in God

Do you feel like your problems are increasing day by day? Do you feel God has left you? A voice in your spirit that says God will not help you?

Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

Psalms 3:1,2

You are not alone.

We are daily attacked by wicked and violent thoughts. Jesus said there is enough evil for every day (Matthew 6:34).

King David, troubled by Absalom, cries out about how his enemies have increased and speak evil against him. Yet he leans on God. He points out how God is with him, as;

1. A Shield
2. My glory
3. Lifter up of head

His trust in the Lord prepares him to face any future troubles; even if ten thousands go against him.

“I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, That have set themselves against me round about.”

Psalms 3:6

Trust in God when surrounded by trouble

What happens when we stay faithful and patient in trusting God? God breaks the pride and confidence of the enemies and gives us the victory in due time (Psalms 3:7).

Salvation belongs to God. He alone can save souls. All those who surrender their lives to Him receive manifold blessings.

As New Testament believers, God has blessed us with the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit finds room in our hearts we are set free from condemning thoughts and wicked imaginations. The battle is in the spiritual realm – set your affections on things above. Meditate on the living word of God to stand in his promises so He wins your battle for you.

Stay in God’s presence to heed the voice of the Spirit. Our time to fly is here. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen.

    When Worry Steals Your Joy

My husband, Steve, and I sat anxiously in our seats. I wondered if I was going to be able to endure the ride, especially knowing my propensity for motion sickness. But we began nonetheless. The guide strapped all passengers into the tiny boats and gave last minute instructions. Of course there were life preservers, but what good would they do in the fierce rapids that threatened to suck its prey below the surface? Read more...
