In the New Creation There Will no Longer be a Curse

The last part of Genesis 3 shows us God’s judgment on the human life and sending Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden. The curse from that time persists until Revelation 20, which presents God’s last judgements and His casting everything negative into the lake of fire.

[Revelation 22:3] says, “And there will no longer be a curse.” Thank God, Genesis 3 will completely pass away and there will no longer be a curse. Everything introduced in Genesis 3 can be summed up in the word curse. Even death is a kind of curse. However, in the new heaven and new earth there will be no more curse, nor will there be any death. All of the history of sin will be over; man will glorify God well.

New JerusalemSin in man began in Genesis 3 and “just as through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin, death; and thus death passed on to all men” (Rom. 5:12). Then, as recorded  in Romans 8:3, “God, sending His own Son in the likeness of the flesh of sin and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh.”

Now we can be forgiven of our sins but the sin nature still persists in our flesh. It will remain until the Lord returns, who “will transfigure the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of His glory.” Even after that, sin will remain in the unbelievers, causing some to be deceived by Satan at the end of the millennium (Rev. 20:8-9).

After that brief rebellion, all negatives will go into the lake of fire, the history of sin will be over, and New Jerusalem will come down out of heaven.
