Iran Just Launched Missiles at Israel... Should Christians Care?
On Tuesday night, Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israel. Almost 200 ballistic missiles were launched toward the nation.
This happened just a week before the one-year anniversary of October 7, 2023—the day we were all shocked to learn that Hamas had launched thousands of rockets into Israel. And, thus, the headlines began: “Israel Is at War.”
Iran has long been a supporter of terrorism and terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah. We must pray for the safety and protection of the people of Israel. Scripture tells us in Psalm 122 to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (NKJV).
Bible students know what’s happening can have prophetic significance.
We Need to Talk About Bible Prophecy—Now
I believe Jesus can come back at any moment and I think it’s important we talk about this. It seems like it’s fallen out of favor to talk about end times events right now but, if you ask me, I don’t know of a more important time to talk about it than right now!
See Why This All Matters to the Christian
This Sunday, I will be talking about end times events and why Bible prophecy matters. We will specifically look at the nation Israel, what is happening there right now, and the significance in light of Bible prophecy. We will see why Christians should even care about Israel and the Jewish people in the first place.
And my friend Joel Rosenberg, a Bible prophecy expert, will be joining me. Joel lives in Jerusalem and will give us the latest information on what’s going on in that part of the world with this Iran-Israel conflict. He will help us see what it all means in light of what the Bible says and much more. Joel is also Jewish and has embraced Jesus as his Messiah, so I think he’s uniquely qualified to help us as we talk about this all.
So find out what’s going on in your world and join us for service at 8 AM, 10 AM, or 12 PM PT, or watch online at harvest.org.
This will be our final message in a series we’re calling Hot Button Issues, where we talk about things considered controversial. We’ve talked about and received the biblical viewpoint on sexuality/God’s plan for men and women, what we should and shouldn’t be doing as Christians, why God allows suffering, and a lot more. You can catch up with these recent messages on our Harvest+ app.
