In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the earth
This statement in the first verse of the Holy Bible, is so simple yet emphatic, unambiguos, and factual. The Heaven and the earth represent our visible and invisble material exixtence. While Heaven may be a subject of conjuration, we are a living experience and reality of the earth.
The Bible states clearly in this passage that God is the Creator. The import of this statement is that the earth did not evolve out of nothing, neither was it a product of accident. God is the Creator of everything that exists in the earth and the heaven. One of the things that God created in the earth is man.
Have you ever realised that somebody created you, and that you are the perfect handiwork of God? The Bible states that before you were formed in the womb of your mother God knew you; and before you were born he has set you apart.
Pause for a moment and meditate upon the fact that you did not create yourself. God is your creator. Man may be able to manufacture cars or electronics, but only God can create. Man may be able to assemble spare parts to form a machine, but God is the only person that can create.
Man may be able to devise a photocopy or cloning technology, but only God can accomplish the work of creation. Man may be able to make robots, but God alone can create living human. No man has been able to find an answer to death, because no man can create life. Only He that can create will be able to stop death.
Do you recognise God has the creator. If you have not it is wise to do so today. If you accept the simple fact that you did not create yourself and you willl not have any difficulty in accepting the fact that God is the creator.
If you accept God as your creator, the first thing you will normally do is to start a relationship with him and do his will; for Him that created you has a purpose for your life. When you start a relationship with him, he will reveal his plan for your life, how you can you can overcome the battles of life, and also how you can come to a place of rest in heaven. If you accept God as your creator, then you will not have any problem accepting the Lordship of his son, Jesus Christ.
Do you want to recognise God as your creator today? Then say this simple prayer.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that am a sinner and have fallen short ofour glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more.
I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name. I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I pray that His blood washes my sins away. I invite the Holy Spirit to rule my Life. I am born again in Jesus name.
