Is Government your God? — SAMUELDEUTH.COM

For Government to be healthy it must be submitted to God—Governments make horrible gods and politicians make poor saviors.

That’s what we’ve seen the last hundred years in America. As God has blessed and our nation, its might and prosperity increased, but people have slowly forgotten God and traded Jesus in for a Barabbas government.

Any time we get something out of order it starts descending into chaos.

In a nation, we must place God first. Governments then are submitted to God’s Word and ways. Governments have their functions to protect and punish evil, but who defines evil? Only God can define evil and morality.

If each nation tries to create their own morality we have chaos. If we attempt to discard God, assuming he’s too strict of a master, we will be horrifically shocked by the merciless arm of the government-turned-god.

We as America must fight to reclaim our slogan, “In God We Trust.” And “One Nation Under God.”

And any nation that desires the strength and peace and prosperity of America must in their own way fight to place their nation under the God of the Bible.

When I am going through a dark time of loss or disappointment, and someone throws a sloppy coat of Romans 8:28 on my open wound, I just want to scream. There. I said it. Paul wrote: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, Read more...

What does it mean to have childlike faith?

What do you think of when you hear the word “childlike?”For many of us, “childlike” might bring to mind something immature, foolish, or naive. Yet when Jesus talked about childlike faith, he wasn’t asking us to be any of these things. He was inviting us into something pure, trusting, and real. This week, I got to help lead worship at a kids' camp. Watching the kids worship was such a beautiful reminder of what childlike faith truly looks like.
