Making Marriage Work: A Jar of Mustard, Gardenias, and an Orange Volkswagen - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” – Philippians 2:3-4

Please Pray:

Jesus, I thank You for my spouse. I pray that I will reveal the character and heart of Jesus to my husband or wife every day in every way possible. Refine me, Lord, and burn away the impatience, selfishness and opinions that I have brought into my marriage. I recognize that marriage is a gift from You, and it is a glorious garden in which either grows the weeds of self or the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Father, allow our marriage to be filled with the aroma of all that You are and the taste of Your personality. I commit, this day, to love my spouse wholeheartedly and selflessly. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
