My Thoughts on Trump's New Faith Office

The White House has established the Faith Office—and I have some thoughts.

First of all, I want to thank President Trump for doing this. I think it’s a good thing. The Faith Office’s purpose is to eradicate anti-Christian bias in our country, and there’s a lot of it.

What About Separation of Church and State?

Some might be saying, “What about the separation of church and state!?” Well, let’s understand the origin of that phrase.

This statement is not in any official government documents, like the Constitution. It’s a statement Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter, with the idea being that the state’s influence should be kept out of the church, rather than the other way around.

The Unique Opportunity We Have for the Gospel

The First Amendment gives us the right to speak our minds, and we need to use this unprecedented opportunity that we have right now to proclaim the gospel.

We have the Great Commission from Christ Himself, but 95% of Christians have never led another person to Christ!

I’m thinking we should get out there like never before and tell people about Jesus Christ.

This is not “Christian Nationalism” as some like to negatively say. We are not trying to “push” our faith on anyone. Rather, the opposite is true.

We don’t want to force anyone to believe anything. We want them to open their hearts and see their need for Jesus Christ. We just simply want the freedom to proclaim it.

This is for sure an open door. Let’s use it and share the gospel.

Our country needs to hear it. And I believe that, ultimately, it’s America’s only hope.

Turning “No I Can’t” into “Yes I Can”

I can do it. No, I can’t. Yes, I can. No, I can’t. Have you ever had that conversation with yourself? You feel like God is calling you to reach out to someone, start a new venture, teach a Bible study, write a book, share a story about your past that you’ve never shared before. But then your fear shouts at your faith to keep quiet. Read more...

        Helping Others See Jesus

I’m a museum guy. I’ve written about this before, but while others go to the beach, I go to a museum. (Beaches aren’t air conditioned.) I love history, and I like learning. So there. When it comes …
