New Jerusalem is the Ultimate Consummation of the Triune God
We have seen that the New Jerusalem is a glorious corporate person…the wife of the Lamb….Furthermore, the New Jerusalem is the aggregate of the divine sonship, the aggregate of all of God’s regenerated, transformed, and glorified sons. Also, the holy city is the incorporation of the Triune God with His chosen and redeemed people….God and His people mutually indwell each other to be a mutual abode, the eternal coinherence of the Triune God with the tripartite man. The holy city is the ultimate consummation of the Triune God. The New Jerusalem, as the greatest sign of the Scriptures, reveals that the Triune God is the existence, entrance, constitution, enjoyment, living, and expression of His redeemed people.*
Here are Bible phrases corresponding with several points in the paragraph above.
• a corporate person: “a bride adorned for her husband” (Rev. 21:2; also Eph. 5:25-27)
• “the wife of the Lamb” (Rev. 21:9)
• the Triune God: “a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Rev. 22:1)

The focus of all is to present New Jerusalem as a corporate person—the Triune God mutually indwelling with His people, the Lamb Jesus Christ with His wife, and the enlargement of the Body of Christ.
